San Francisco

San Francisco, the home of one of the most famous landmarks in the world - 'The Golden Gate Bridge' is one of the most fascinating cities in the world. The unique cable cars, the world famous food, some very hilly streets, the chilly summer days and not to forget some of the most friendliest dudes in the world all add to the allure of one of the most popular destinations.

Yellowstone National Park, set aside by the U.S. Congress as a national parks located mostly in Wyoming, though it also extends into Montana and Idaho. The park was the first of its kind, and is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features in particular the very famous Old Faithful geyser and the colorful albeit somewhat noisome sulphur pools.

There is no place like home - every time we travel and come back to the San Francisco Bay Area where we live, we grow to appreciate it a wee bit more. We have travelled to about 30 states in the country but cannot dream of living any place else. The San Francisco Bay Area is a melting pot of almost every ethnic group in the world. It is a natural choice as home for immigrants coming into the country, so you never feel out of place.

Arches National Park in southern Utah is known for preserving over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, including the world-famous Delicate Arch. The park contains the world's largest concentration of natural stone arches. This  is a red, arid desert, punctuated with oddly eroded sandstone forms such as fins, pinnacles, spires, balanced rocks, and arches.

All of the pictures in this section were taken at home in our backyard. Right after acquiring a new lens, I usually want to test it immediately and chase the bugs and bees around in my backyard in order to do so. These have turned out to be some of my most favorite pictures.
